Small Bodies Assessment Group (SBAG) will meet twice yearly to provide a sounding board for the concerns of the small bodies community and gather reports on the status of small body missions.
The second yearly meeting of the NASA Small Bodies Assessment Group (SBAG) is scheduled for June 7–9, 2022, at the Renaissance Downtown Hotel in Washington, D.C. To include as many participants as possible and consider the possible impact of COVID-19 on in-person attendance, components of the meeting will be available virtually.
Registration
Registration fees are not being collected for this meeting, but registration is required. Registration for in-person attendance will be available through May 24, 2022, and virtual attendance through June 9, 2022. Onsite registration at the venue will open on June 7.
Before the meeting, registered attendees will receive an email from Houston Meeting Info with virtual connection information.
COVID-19 Protocols
Washington, D.C. has no COVID-19 mandates in place. At this time, wearing masks at the meeting is optional but highly encouraged. Hand sanitizer, gloves, and masks will be available at the meeting.
Reporting Positive Cases
Attendees who receive a positive test result during the 27th SBAG meeting are not allowed to enter the meeting venue and must immediately quarantine. These attendees are encouraged to share positive test results with a USRA/LPI HR representative: [email protected]. For contact tracing purposes, a list of close contacts without masking will be requested. All information will be considered HR confidential.

Oral Presenter Guidelines
In-Person Presenters
- File name format: PresentationTime_LastName
- Create a folder on your flash drive called “SBAGJune2022.”
- Save your PowerPoint or PDF presentation to that folder.
- Submission deadline: Submit presentations to the AV technician in the session room at least 20 minutes before the start of the session.
Remote Presenters
- Remote presenters may share their screen and advance their own slides or upload their slides in advance to be shared from in the room and advanced by a meeting organizer.

Logistics
The SBAG meeting will be held at the Renaissance Downtown Hotel, 999 Ninth Street NW, Washington, D.C. 20001.
Participants are responsible for making their own travel arrangements and hotel reservations.
A block of rooms has been reserved at the Renaissance at a rate of $269. Room occupancy taxes are currently 14.95%.
