The Small Bodies Assessment Group (SBAG) meets twice yearly to provide a sounding board for the concerns of the small bodies community and to gather reports on the status of small body missions.
SBAG’s next meeting (SBAG #28) will be January 24–25, 2023, at Infrared Processing and Analysis Center (IPAC) on the Caltech Campus in Pasadena, CA, with an opportunity for virtual participation.

Presentation Submission Deadline: January 22, 2023, 11:59 p.m. PST
- File name format: PresentationTime_LastName
- Presentation time should use a 24-hour format (e.g., 0830, 1300, or 1415).
- Accepted presentation file format: PowerPoint, widescreen (16:9)

- The Box link above is the only acceptable method of presentation submission. No presentations will be accepted via email or memory devices such as USB drives.
Presenters will have the opportunity to test and become familiar with the virtual platform before the meeting.
An email with detailed instructions has been sent to all presenters.
Registration
Registration fees are not being collected for this meeting, but registration is required. In-person registration will be available through January 9, 2023, or when the in-person limit of 60 is reached, whichever occurs first. Virtual registration will be available through January 25, 2023.
Before the meeting, registered attendees will receive an email from Houston Meeting Info with virtual connection information.
COVID-19 Protocols
As of October 4, 2023, Caltech has lifted COVID-related restrictions for on-campus events, both indoor and outdoor. This includes capacity restrictions, masking requirements, and vaccination checks. By entering Caltech’s facilities, visitors attest to being fully vaccinated or having a legal, medical exemption.
Reporting Positive Cases
Attendees who receive a positive test result during the 28th SBAG meeting are not allowed to enter the meeting venue and must immediately quarantine. These attendees are encouraged to share positive test results with a USRA/LPI HR representative: [email protected]. For contact tracing purposes, a list of close contacts without masking will be requested. All information will be considered HR confidential.

A block of rooms has been reserved at the Westin Pasadena and the Pasadena Hotel & Pool for January 21–25, 2023, at a rate of $182 for single occupancy. Participants are responsible for making their own travel arrangements and hotel reservations.
