The annual meeting of the Venus Exploration Analysis Group (VEXAG) will be held on November 17–19, 2024, at the Muhammad Ali Center in Louisville, Kentucky. The meeting will be held in person with opportunities for virtual participation.

Call for Abstracts
Abstract submission deadline: September 3, 2024, 5:00 p.m. CDT
- Contributed oral presentations are limited to student and early-career first authors and/or technology topics. If all oral slots are filled, any remaining abstracts and abstracts submitted to other topics will be assigned to posters.
- No late or revised abstracts will be accepted, regardless of the reason.
- Abstracts sent by email will not be considered.
- Abstracts are limited to one page.
- All abstracts must be submitted as PDF files.
- All abstracts must be submitted in U.S. letter-sized format (8.5 inches × 11 inches).
- Abstract file sizes are limited to 3 MB.
- If not using the template provided, leave a one-inch margin on all four sides of your document.
Authors are encouraged to start the submission process early so the LPI staff will have time to provide assistance. For assistance, email [email protected].
Abstract Revisions (before the deadline)
If you need to replace your abstract file or correct the information submitted on the form, return to the abstract submission portion of the meeting portal and click on the “Update” link that appears next to the title of the abstract you submitted.
Preparation and Submission of Abstracts
- Download the appropriate template.
- Write the abstract using the format shown in the template.
- Create a PDF file.
- Fill out the electronic abstract submission form and upload the PDF abstract file.
Registration
Registration fees are not being collected for this meeting, but registration is required. Registration will be available through November 19, 2024. Before the meeting, all registered attendees will receive an email from Houston Meeting Info with virtual connection information.
VEXAG Meeting Participation Support
VEXAG is offering a limited number of stipends for in-person and virtual attendance and participation. This support ensures active participation in the meeting by students and early-career researchers (less than seven years from Ph.D. or last degree serving in a non-tenured or equivalent position). The support may cover costs associated with travel and/or defraying child or elder care. Stipends will be paid to recipients after the meeting and upon verification of attendance.
Meeting Participation Support Criteria and Requirements
- Eligible applicants: students and early-career researchers (less than seven years from Ph.D. or last degree serving in a non-tenured or equivalent position)
- Explain how your interest in attending the VEXAG meeting.
- Describe prior involvement in VEXAG activities.
- Explain how attending this meeting will benefit your career.
- Be able to receive income in the United States (stipends are considered income).
- Civil servants and members of the military are not eligible for this support.

Reporting Positive Cases
Attendees who receive a positive test result during the meeting are not allowed to enter the meeting venue and must immediately quarantine.
